A Lollys kind of love - Mothers day

In celebration of Mother’s Day, we are highlighting strong relationships. Anne Louise is a true Lollys ambassador and someone who continues to inspire us. Her way of combining colors and styles is captivating, and her mother is just as inspiring.

We met with them for a cozy conversation about their relationship, personal stories and meaningful memories, which we have gathered in a small interview. Read along and celebrate Mother’s Day with us.

Anne-Louise's story

How would you describe your relationship in three words?

Unconditional love, adventure and no judgment. I admire her curiosity and joy for life. We can completely be ourselves and talk about everything without feeling judged.

We are mother and daughter, not friends, and that has always been important. Over time, our relationship has grown into one built on deep respect and understanding.

What is your favorite memory together?

We started an annual bike trip when I was around 13 years old, and it took us to many different places. It created a very special bond at an age where you do not always choose to spend time with your mom.

That tradition grew into something bigger, and today we love traveling to Spain together. We spend so much time together that we often end up saying the same things at the exact same time.

What is something you have always admired about each other?

My mom is truly a very special person. She is full of energy, curious about everything and has a unique way of connecting with people. I notice it more and more as I get older, and it is something truly rare.

She is always happy, positive and says yes to life. A true fighter. We appreciate the small things and can get so excited about something as simple as a swan about to hatch its eggs.

Jane's story

How would you describe your relationship in three words?

Love, admiration and understanding. Anne Louise has so many facets, and I truly try to understand what it is like to live that way. I admire her courage and everything she dares to throw herself into.
I have always given her the freedom and confidence to live life on her own terms — something I did not have when I was young, and something that means a lot to me. It has shaped our relationship into one built on trust, respect and a strong connection.

What is your favorite memory together?

Meeting again in New York after 10 months while she was traveling. It felt completely surreal to finally see each other again after such a long time with very little contact along the way.

She had changed her plans and avoided Phuket around the time of the tsunami, and I will always be deeply grateful for that. That night at the hotel, we did not sleep at all — we simply talked until morning. It was such a special and unforgettable moment.

What is something you have always admired about each other?

I admire how much her friendships mean to her. She sees her friends as her chosen family, and that says everything about who she is.

I also admire her independence, something she has had since she was very young.

I admire her curiosity about life and the world, her openness towards people, and her constant desire to explore, experience and travel.
